Maruti Suzuki has upgraded standard and extended warranty programmes for its entire lineup, which includes the Brezza, the Baleno, and the Swift. The standard warranty, which was formerly two years or 40,000 kilometres, is now extended to 3 years or 1,00,000 km (whichever comes first). It applies to all vehicles from July 9, 2024, and covers equipment such as the engine, gearbox, mechanical components, electrical, and air conditioning systems, excluding consumables. The warranty also guarantees free repairs at any authorised Maruti Suzuki workshop across the country.

In addition, the carmaker is now providing an extended warranty for up to 6 years or 1,60,000 kilometres (whichever comes first) with three options to choose from. The first option is the Platinum package, which allows buyers to extend the warranty to four years or 1,20,000 kilometres. Next up, there is a Royal Platinum package that offers an extended warranty of up to five years or 1,40,000 kilometres. Lastly, the Solitaire package provides an enhanced warranty of up to six years or 1,60,000 kilometres.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, MSIL, said 'At Maruti Suzuki, we strive to have customers for life. In line with this commitment, we have enhanced our standard warranty coverage to 3 years or 1,00,000 km to provide greater value to our customers.'
He added 'We have introduced extended warranty packages for up to 6 years or 1,60,000 km and revised the scope of 4th year and 5th year extended warranty packages. The enhanced standard warranty and updated extended warranty packages will offer our customers added convenience and peace of mind, ultimately enhancing their overall ownership experience.'

Maruti Suzuki: Best-selling Car Brand in June 2024
Maruti Suzuki was the top-selling car brand in June 2024. With over 1.37 lakh units sold, it represented a 3.1% YoY increase. The new Swift sold 16,422 units last month, ranking second on the list of best-selling cars. On the sales chart, Maruti Suzuki was closely followed by Hyundai and Tata Motors, which delivered 50,103, and 43,527 units, respectively.
