Bajaj Auto Limited reported a 25% year-on-year increase in overall sales (domestic + exports, PVs + CVs) in March. It sold 3,65,904 units (2Ws and CVs) last month, compared to 2,91,567 in March 2023. The automaker sold 2,20,393 2Ws + CVs in the home market and 1,45,511 vehicles in the international market, indicating an 18% and 39% year-over-year gain, respectively. The manufacturer supplied 1,83,004 units domestically in the 2W market, which is a 20% year-over-year rise. The number of vehicles exported last month was 1,30,881, up 38% from the 94,715 2Ws shipped in March 2023. Overall, Bajaj delivered 3,13,885 units in March 2024, representing a growth of 27% over the 2,47,002 vehicles sold during the same period last year. The corporation saw a rise of 9% in its domestic sales with 37,389 units sold in the commercial sector. The international shipments rose by 42% in the last month, reaching 14,630 units, up from 10,330 CVs exported in March 2023. When local and export CV sales are taken into account, Bajaj saw a 17% YoY increase, selling 52,019 units in March 2024 against 44,565 units in March 2023.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 India Launch on April 10
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 is set to go on sale in India on April 10. The motorcycle has been seen multiple times on our roads, revealing some key details. While the exact specs will be revealed soon, previous spy pictures suggest that the N250 will come with a digital dash with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike may also include updated switchgear and new colour schemes, among other features. The mechanical details of the Pulsar N250 are unlikely to change, which means the 249cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine with 24bhp and 22Nm will be offered.
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 is expected to cost more than the current model, which retails for Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of market competition, the motorcycle will go up against the Suzuki Gixxer 250, the KTM 250 Duke, the Honda Hornet 2.0, and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
