One of the biggest manufacturers of two-wheelers in India, Bajaj Auto, has witnessed a 17 per cent increase in sales in April 2024. Last month, the bikemaker sold over 3.88 lakh units as opposed to more than 3.31 lakh units in the same month the previous year. During the said month, the company's exports increased by 18 per cent to 1.39 lakh units, while its domestic sales surged by 17 per cent to 2.49 lakh units. Sales of two-wheelers increased by 19 per cent for the company to about 3.42 lakh units, while sales of commercial vehicles increased by 7 per cent to 46,467 units.

Bajaj Auto Sales Figures
In March, Bajaj Auto sold about 3.66 lakh units, up from 2.91 lakh units in the same month last year. In FY24, its sales increased by 11 per cent. In the domestic market, the company sold a total of 27.14 lakh units between April 2023 and March 2024, a 29 per cent increase over the previous year's sales of 21.06 lakh.
Meanwhile, exports fell year on year, with the bikemaker reporting total overseas sales of 16.36 lakh units in FY24, a 10 per cent decrease from 18.21 lakh units sold in FY23. Two-wheelers made up 37.27 lakh of the 43.50 lakh units sold annually, which is 8 per cent more than the 34.42 lakh sold in FY23.
In March 2024, Bajaj Auto saw a significant increase in exports. A total of 1.45 lakh units were sold internationally by the company during the month. This marks a 39 per cent increase over the 1.05 lakh units sold in the same month the previous year. Compared to the 94,715 units exported in March 2023, two-wheelers accounted for 1.30 lakh of all units exported during the month, a 38 percent increase. In the same period last year, the export of CVs was 14,630 units, a 42 percent increase from 10,330 units.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Launched
Bajaj Auto has launched the largest Pulsar ever, the NS400Z, in India. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and is currently available for booking for a nominal amount of Rs 5,000. The deliveries will begin in the first week of June. The Pulsar NS400Z features the same 373cc liquid-cooled petrol engine as the Dominar 400. This motor develops 39.4bhp of maximum power and 35Nm of peak torque and is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. Being the fastest bike in the Pulsar lineup, the NS400Z can attain a top speed of 154km/h. The bike is available in four colours: glossy racing red, pearl metallic white, Brooklyn black, and pewter grey.
The NS400Z can be had with several noteworthy features, including four riding modes (road, rain, sport, and off-road), a colour LCD with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and a lap timer. The instrument cluster consists of a gear position indication, a large speedometer display, a bar-type fuel gauge, a tachometer, and a smaller section for odometer and trip meter data. Other noteworthy features include switchable traction control and 5-step adjustable levers.
