Audi India has publicised its sales data, revealing that the premium automaker sold a total of 5,530 cars from January to September 2023. This helped the company to achieve an impressive 88% YoY increase over the 2,947 units delivered in the same time the previous year. During the same period, the notable firm's SUV division recorded an incredible 187% growth, while the performance and lifestyle cars witnessed a solid 42% increase in sales. Audi claims that the introduction of new models such as the Audi Q8 e-tron, Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, Q3, and Audi Q3 Sportback, as well as ongoing demand for existing vehicles such as the Audi A4, A6, Q5, the Audi Q7, Q8, A8 L, S5 Sportback, RS5 Sportback, and more, has resulted in the sales increase.

Audi India Sales Performance: What's More?
Aside from the aforementioned, Audi India's pre-owned car corporation—Audi Approved Plus, saw a significant growth of 63% from January to September 2023. There are now 25 Audi Approved Plus facilities located throughout the country's key locations. The firm intends to develop these facilities further and open about 27 pre-owned car dealerships by the end of 2023.
Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, commented on the sales and said "Audi India retailed 5,530 units witnessing a strong 88% growth; our SUVs have witnessed a growth of 187%. With the upcoming festive season, we are expecting this growth to continue on the back of sustained demand for our best-sellers including the Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q3, Audi Q3 Sportback, Q5, Audi Q7, and Audi Q8.''
He further said ''With our recent launches, the Audi Q8 e-tron and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron (offered with an impressive 114 kWh battery which is the industry's best), we now have the widest EV portfolio in the segment. We are confident of good demand during the festive season for our electric range which also includes India's first EV supercars - Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT."
Mr. Dhillon also added ''"Robust sales performance owing to strong demand, expansion in the luxury car segment, evolving demographics, and favorable economic conditions are leading to growth.''

Audi India Electrification Strategy Updates
Audi India recently launched a 'Charge my Audi' campaign for EV clients via the 'myAudiConnect' app. This helps Audi e-Tron owners with hassle-free access to a number of electric vehicle charging providers via a single app. Over 1,000 charging sites are currently available to Audi e-tron buyers via 'Charge My Audi'. The automaker intends to increase the number of charging points in the future.
