Ather Energy will install over 2,500 EV chargers in India by the end of 2023. It has already deployed over 1,000 EV charging stations in 80 cities all over the nation. With 60% of current installations in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, the Ather Grid fast-charging station is the largest charging network for two-wheeler EVs. The two-wheeler maker claims to make this move to encourage more customers towards EV adoption. According to the firm, sturdy charging infrastructure will boost the adoption of electric vehicles in India. Hence, it claims to commit to creating a thriving EV ecosystem and making significant investments to build a large fast-charging network in India. The company will also introduce Neighbourhood Charging, a charging option developed for semi-private areas like apartment buildings, IT office parks, etc.
Ather Energy witnessed a peak in monthly sales in January 2023, when it sold 12.419 units. It helped the company to mark its position among the top two-wheelers manufacturers for the previous month. By March 2023, the company aims to expand its retail presence to 150 centres across 100 cities.

In other news, An online video of the burned-out Gen3 Ather 450X surfaced on the internet. The incident, reported from Bengaluru, India, was identified by Ather Energy, and it issued a formal declaration elaborating on the fire's origin. According to the firm, a problem in the wiring harness assembly caused the Gen3 Ather 450X to catch fire. The company said, "One of the connectors to the motor controller, was torqued incorrectly, which unfortunately resulted in sparking around the controller terminals".

The two-wheeler further reported that they create, produce, and test each battery pack and maintain the highest quality and testing standards. According to the company, the incident was unrelated to the battery thermal runaway event, and the battery continued to function normally after the incident.
