Ahead of the 2024 Community Day celebration on April 6, Ather Energy unveiled a teaser of its upcoming smart accessory, called 'Halo,' which looks like a helmet. Tarun Mehta, CEO of Ather Energy, called the brand-new product a 'top-secret accessory' on X (formerly Twitter) and added that a lucky person would get the chance to win the Halo smart accessory. As revealed in the teaser, the new smart accessory has a silver tone and a Halo logo. Although Ather hasn't disclosed anything, the helmet is speculated to come with features such as a built-in head-up display and Bluetooth compatibility. Aside from this smart accessory, the EV maker has a lot in store for the Community Day celebration, including the unveiling of the Rizta electric scooter, the Atherstack 6 software update, and an innovative mobile app.

Given that the Ather Rizta e-scooter will be the event's main attraction, let's look at some of its key highlights.

Ather Rizta: Main Highlights

According to industry reports, the Rizta electric scooter is expected to sport a distinctive aesthetic compared to its counterparts. It is expected to feature flat side panels without creases, a horizontal LED headlamp on the front apron, and a round tail portion. Although the motor and battery specifications are currently unknown, the e-scooter is likely to come with a larger battery pack, offering more range. The company presently offers two battery pack options for the 450 line  2.9kWh and 3.7kWh, depending on the mode.

The upcoming Rizta is anticipated to come with a single-disc layout on both ends, telescopic front forks, LED lighting, an emergency stop signal (ESS), a large seat, and other features. In addition, it is expected to offer more under-seat storage than the Ather 450X's 22 litres of storage.

While no official announcement has been made regarding it, the new Ather electric scooter may cost around Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, including FAME 2 subsidy). After its introduction, it will compete with a range of models, such as the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Pro, and Bajaj Chetak.
