Aprilia RS 457 Waiting Period Reaches up to 2 Months in India

In India, the Aprilia RS 457 waiting period is now as long as two months. To meet demand, the company's Baramati factory currently runs three shifts at its production line.

The Aprilia RS 457 has a waiting period of up to 2 months in India. The bike went on sale last year, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.10 lakh. Its competitive pricing boosted demand, resulting in a high number of bookings. According to industry reports, the motorcycle is quite in demand in South and West India. Aprilia is trying to meet rising demand by operating three shifts at its Baramati factory and producing approximately 50 units every day. 

In April, the Italian bikemaker announced prices for the parallel-twin bike's accessories, which include track and touring equipment like race brake pads, a front axle cover, and a tall windscreen. With a price tag of Rs 29,925, the electronic anti-theft assembly is the most expensive item on the list. Aprilia RS 457: Engine and Hardware

The bike is powered by a 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine,w which produces 47bhp at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm. It has a six-speed gearbox and an optional quick-shifter. The supersport's suspension includes a mono-shock with 130mm of travel at the rear and a 41mm USD fork with 120mm of travel at the front, both with preload adjustment. Furthermore, the Aprilia bike features a 320mm front disc with a Bybre 4-piston radial calliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston floating calliper for braking.

In terms of appearance, the fully-faired Aprilia is bold and aggressive. It features various cuts and creases, clip-on handlebars in front, a muscular fuel tank, an underbelly exhaust, a short curved windscreen, and split LED headlamps. The bike has three levels of traction control, a 5-inch TFT display, and backlit switchgear. Furthermore, it features Ride-by-Wire technology with three riding modes, which can alter the motorcycle's power delivery and traction.
