Aprilia RS 457 to Become More Expensive From January 1

The Aprilia RS 457, which went on sale last year with an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.10 lakh, is set to become more expensive in January 2025. The cost of the mid-performance sportsbike will rise by Rs 10,000, bringing the ex-showroom price to Rs 4.20 lakh. This change will affect all three available colours: Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, and Opalescent Light. Currently, the fully-faired RS 457 is available with a year-end discount of Rs 5,000. Additionally, Piaggio India is offering year-end discounts of up to Rs 13,000 on Vespa and Aprilia scooters until December 25. The exact advantages of each scooter model are not specified. Aprilia RS 457: Key Specifications

The fully-faired Aprilia looks aggressive with sharp cuts and creases. It gets clip-on handlebars, an underbelly exhaust, a muscular fuel tank, a compact curved windscreen, and split LED headlamps, among other design elements. At its heart, the RS 457 has a 457cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that generates 46.9bhp and 43Nm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and is equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.

The supersport has a rear mono-shock (130mm of travel) and a 41mm USD front (120mm of travel), both can be adjusted for preload. It is equipped with a 320mm front disc brake paired with a Bybre 4-piston radial calliper and a 220mm rear disc brake with a single-piston floating calliper. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 110-section front and 150-section rear TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres. It has a kerb weight of 175kg.

Features-wise, the RS 457 has a three-level traction control system, an optional quickshifter, and Ride-by-Wire technology, offering three distinct riding modes that adjust the motorcycle's power delivery and traction according to the rider’s preference. It also includes a 5-inch TFT display and backlit switchgear.
