Acura, a luxury and performance arm of Honda, has revealed the brand-new Electric Vision Concept at the Monterey Car Week. The new design study has been developed by the Los Angeles-based design team, and it effectively conveys the company's vision for its future electric cars. With the newest Acura Electric Vision Design Concept, the luxury and performance division of the Japanese automaker intends to advance the present Precision Crafted Performance design philosophy, which is used by the brand across its range.
The concept provides a first look at a prospective sporty EV from the company, but it is not yet known if it will enter production. In terms of design, the concept looks elegant and futuristic, giving an impression of an aggressive supercar. The concept features compact proportions and incorporates external lighting as a design element, with colour-changing lights enhancing the car's overall appeal.

Acura Electric Vision Design Concept: More Details
Although not many details are available about the concept, the low-slung coupe does have some identifiable Acura characteristics, particularly the front lighting components, as apparent in the images. The lights of the concept start off with a neon green tinge before changing to a brighter, more conventional white. The huge glass canopy contributes to the profile and is far more reminiscent of a prototype racer than a street-legal supercar. As already mentioned, it is currently unknown whether the new design study will spawn a production model or not. For now, looking at the concept, we can only say that Acura is aiming to establish itself as a pioneer in the electrification of the car industry.
