Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is gearing up to launch another electric model in the global market following the introduction of its first electric car, the SU7, in March 2024. Although there is no formal confirmation, the tech behemoth's second electric model will likely be introduced next year. However, before its debut, the upcoming SUV, codenamed MX11, was seen undergoing road testing in China. The most recent spy shots show a streamlined design upfront with slender LED headlights and DRLs, similar to the Xiaomi SU7. The vehicle's roofline extends to the rear, and its profile is identical to the Ferrari Purosangue. Other notable elements include five-spoke wheels, yellow brake callipers, and linked taillights.

Xiaomi's First Electric SUV: What's More?
The mechanical details are currently unknown, but industry reports indicate that the upcoming electric SUV could borrow some components from its sedan sibling, like the 400V architecture and a 73.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The second electric vehicle from Xiaomi is also expected to include a 101kWh battery and 800V architecture in its higher-end variant.
The SU7, Xiaomi's first vehicle, has established a strong foothold worldwide owing to its affordable price in China, which starts at RMB 215,900 (Rs 24.90 lakh) and goes up to RMB 299,900 (Rs 34.59 lakh). It remains to be seen how well the tech giant's second electric vehicle will perform once it enters the competitive Chinese electric vehicle market. It is anticipated to compete with the Tesla Model Y.
