Xiaomi SU7 Electric Sedan Showcased at 10th Anniversary Event in India
Xiaomi has yet to confirm the launch of the SU7 electric sedan in India. If it plans to do so, the vehicle could start at around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) in terms of pricing.
Xiaomi, the Chinese Smartphone maker, launched the SU7 electric sedan in the home country in March 2024 and, fast forward to the present day, Xiaomi has showcased the sedan at an event held to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary in India. Having said that, Xiaomi says that the SU7 is not going to be launched in the country in the near future.
Overseas, the Xiaomi SU7 is offered in three variants – SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. The variant showcased here was the SU7 Max, the performance-oriented version of the electric sedan. It gets a dual motor, all-wheel-drive setup, which produces 664bhp and 838Nm of peak torque (combined output numbers). This setup, offered by Xiaomi in the SU7, ensures that the sedan accelerates from a standstill to 100km/h in 2.78 seconds (with launch control) before hitting a top speed of 265km/h. The battery is a 101kWh unit with a CLTC-certified range of up to 800km.

Xiaomi says the vehicle has a drag coefficient of 0.195 Cd, making it one of the world’s most aerodynamically efficient cars. The global-spec model can be had in six colour options – Radiant Purple, Meteor Blue, Lava Orange, Basalt Grey, Pearl White, and Diamond Black.

The Xiaomi SU7's cabin is minimalistic yet purposeful.
