MG Motor India is set to enhance the EV ownership experience with new software-based services, unveiled at the Driev.Bharat event. A key feature is the connectivity platform, developed with Jio, to be included in all MG cars and SUVs. This platform offers access to OTT apps, games, and educational content, and allows drivers to view vehicle information on their home TVs. The MG-Jio Intelligent Connectivity Platform (ICP) will debut in the Windsor CUV, a globally known Cloud EV. Currently undergoing testing, the Windsor EV will be positioned between the Comet and ZS EV models. The MG Windsor EV comes with two battery options globally: a 37.9kWh pack with a range of up to 360km and a 50.6kWh pack with a range of up to 460km. Both versions feature a 132bhp front-mounted electric motor. Though official details for India are not yet confirmed, it is expected that MG will offer the 50.6kWh battery option in the Indian market.

What is MG Jio ICP?
MG Motor India has unveiled a strategic partnership with Reliance Jio to introduce an advanced connectivity platform, dubbed the MG Jio ICP. This new system will debut in the upcoming MG Windsor and subsequently be rolled out across the entire MG car lineup.
The MG Windsor will feature the MG App Store, a comprehensive in-car entertainment and learning hub powered by Jio. Users can access a vast array of games, movies, audiobooks, and podcasts through popular OTT platforms. The vehicle will also be equipped with the Hello Jio AI voice assistant, supporting multiple Indian languages for a seamless user experience. To further enhance the connected car experience, MG is introducing the Home-2-Car platform. Jio Fiber customers can remotely monitor and control various car functions, including vehicle health, charging status, locking/unlocking, AC settings, and service scheduling directly from their TV screens.
In a bid to accelerate EV adoption, MG has launched EVPEDIA, a dedicated platform offering comprehensive information and resources on electric vehicles. EVPEDIA includes cost-of-ownership calculators, government policy insights, research papers, and interactive tools. The platform also features an AI-powered chatbot, 'eVir', providing instant answers to user queries.
