Volvo XC90 Facelift Launched in India at Rs 1.03 Crore
The all-new Volvo XC90 Facelift carries an introductory price of Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom). It competes against the Lexus RX 350h, the Audi Q7, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, and the BMW X5.

Volvo has launched the facelifted XC90 in India at Rs 1.03 crore (Introductory, ex-showroom). The redesigned model, which debuted globally in September last year, has notable cosmetic changes, especially at the front. The new design takes cues from the EX90, featuring new headlamps with T-shaped DRLs seamlessly integrated into the revised grille. This creates a unified front design, with the headlamps and grille blending for a modern, refined appearance. The profile largely remains the same, except for the refreshed alloy wheel design. At the rear, the vertical light signature is redefined with an eye-catching split design, giving the car a sleek, contemporary edge. As for the colours, the SUV gains a new option called the Mulberry Red, while the other options–Crystal White, Onyx Black,Vapour Grey, Denim Blue, and Bright Dusk–remain unchanged.
Volvo XC90 Facelift: Interior

Volvo has modernised the XC90's interior by installing a larger, more prominent touchscreen infotainment system. The familiar layout is complemented by enhanced centre console storage, including a new cupholder and a more accessible wireless charger. The updated model also offers a 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Other highlights include a three-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a leatherette upholstery, and a coloured head-up display (HUD), a four-zone automatic climate control with dedicated AC vents (for 2nd and 3rd-row occupants). Unlike the global version, which offers 5, 6, or 7 seats, the India-spec XC90 exclusively remains a 7-seater.
Volvo XC90 Facelift: Powertrain
Given it is a facelift, Volvo has kept the powertrain unchanged, meaning the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology is still on offer, delivering 247bhp and 360Nm. This setup is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and has an all-wheel drive. The SUV has a 0-100km/h sprint time of 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 180km/h. Notably, the model is available in both mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid versions internationally.
The XC90 benefits from air suspension with electronically regulated dampers, automatic self-levelling, and dynamic ride height adjustment based on speed. The system can lower the car's height by 20mm or raise it by 40mm, based on the driving conditions.
Volvo XC90 Facelift: Safety Suite
Focusing on occupant safety, the XC90 offers Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with functions such as adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance.
