Volvo has launched the single-motor version of the XC40 Recharge in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 54.95 lakh. The new entry-level model is available for purchase alongside the top-end, twin-motor variant, which retails for Rs 57.90 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The electric vehicle is a testament to the premium automaker's support of domestic manufacturing, as it is assembled at the facility located in Hosakate, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Reservations are only available on the official website for the electric SUV. For the uninitiated, Volvo's first electric offering in India is the XC40 Recharge, which went on sale in 2022. According to the company, the price of the EV with a single motor has been purposefully set to attract a large number of buyers. The premium automaker currently provides the C40 Recharge twin-motor, XC40 Recharge twin-motor, and single-motor variants as its three EV models in India.
