After three years of its global debut, the Volvo S90 sedan has received a comprehensive update, featuring refreshed styling and upgraded technology. The updated model will be available to order in China starting this summer, with other markets expected to follow sometime later. In India, Volvo continues to sell the pre-facelift version of the S90, which is priced at Rs 68.25 lakh (ex-showroom). There's no official word yet on when the facelifted version will make its way to Indian shores. Let’s take a closer look at what the revamped S90 brings to the table in terms of design and tech upgrades.

The updated Volvo S90 gets a fresh look that brings it closer to Volvo's current design language. It has a new grille and Matrix LED headlights, echoing the look of the new XC90 SUV. The overall shape is the same, but the sedan now rolls on new diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Volvo S90 Facelift: Interior and Features

The interior layout is unchanged, but a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen has taken the place of the previous 9-inch screen, bringing with it over-the-air software updates. Moreover, the driving experience is enhanced by improved sound insulation.
Volvo S90 Facelift: Powertrain
Although full specifications are yet to be revealed, Volvo has announced that the updated S90 will feature both mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The plug-in hybrid will have an electric-only range of 80 kilometres, a slight increase from the previous 74 kilometres. A significant enhancement for all S90 models is the standardisation of adaptive suspension.
