Volvo has unveiled the new EX90 Excellence, which is the brand's luxury electric SUV, at the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show in China. It is a four-seater, two-row variant of the Volvo EX90 that is the brand's flagship electric SUV. This top-of-the-line variant will be offered in limited numbers to uplift the premiumness of the electric vehicle. The EX90 Excellence receives a significant change inside the cabin, where it sports a four-seater layout rather than a seven-seater configuration. While the exterior of the vehicle remains more or less the same, with the exception of newly designed 22-inch alloy wheels. The EX90 Excellence, according to some reports, will go on sale in the Chinese market first and, then will reach other markets, including our home market.
Volvo EX90 Excellence EV: Interior Details & Features
On the inside, the seats of the Volvo EX90 Excellence are upholstered in either a tailored wood-blend material or a Nordico material that is made up of recycled materials such as PET plastic bottles. The biggest change the luxury vehicle gets is the removal of the third-row seats. Instead, it receives two individual seats with soft pillows at the back for the convenience of the occupants. Between these executive seats, there is a beverage cooler and a centre console that houses some touch-sensitive controls, providing access to heat and massage functionality. In addition, the luxury EV receives an Orrefors crystal piece that controls a fragrance dispenser, thereby giving us 3 different fragrances.

On the feature front, the EV comes with a 14.5-inch infotainment system, 5G connection as standard, OTA updates, and a new Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity system with 3D surround sound.
Volvo EX90 Excellence EV: Exterior Details
Design-wise, the Volvo EX90 Excellence looks similar to a crossover. It comes with a sloping design and a closed-off front grille. On offer is a two-toned paint scheme and newly designed 22-inch forged rims for better aerodynamic performance. By and large, the exterior of the car remains the same in terms of equipment and features.

Volvo EX90 Excellence EV: Powertrain & Performance
The Volvo EX90 Excellence EV is powered by a 111kWh battery pack and gets a dual-motor setup that translates into an all-wheel-drive system. The combined power output of the luxury EV is around 496bhp. It offers a claimed range of up to 650km (CLTC cycle) on a single charge.
