Volkswagen has announced that their sales for the month of March 2015(4577 units) were up by 22% compared to the same period last year.

According to the company, Polo was the main driving force behind the increased sales while the new Jetta and Magnific Vento also contributed to the upward trend.

Commenting on the rise in sales figure, Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said “We are happy to note the significant hike in sales in March this year and further aim to continue with the upward trend for rest of the year.”

“The increase in sales underlines the fact that car buyers in India are increasingly appreciative of the key attributes of our cars, which are best-in-class safety, build quality and driving dynamics, which makes our cars very involving to drive.”

“Also increasing level of confidence that our customers now have in our dealer network to provide a consistently world-class experience when it comes to buying and owning a Volkswagen car,’’ he added.
