In the lead-up to the upcoming Onam festival, Volkswagen has launched a special-edition version of the Virtus sedan and the Taigun SUV. Called the Onam Edition, it has been introduced to not only mark the festival of Onam but also to celebrate the inauguration of six new touchpoints in Kerala, which is one of the best-performing markets. The Virtus Onam Edition ranges from Rs 13.57 lakh to 14.87 lakh, while the Taigun Onam Edition starts at Rs 14.08 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.63 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom. Notably, the special-edition models are available exclusively for potential customers based in the state of Kerala and are limited to 100 units each.
Compared to their standard counterparts, the Taigun and Virtus Onam Editions get an all-black treatment, both inside and out. Other add-ons include a dual-tone horn, front parking sensors, puddle lamps, and a TSI badge on the front fender. Based on the higher-spec GT Line variant, the Taigun Onam Edition gets the same features and safety equipment as the GT Line. These include blacked-out 17-inch alloys, a powered sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 10.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control.
