These limited edition models come at no additional cost over the standard variants they are based on.
Not too long ago, we had reported that VW was planning to launch a special edition of the Vento called Vento Sport. The car has now been officially launched, alongside the limited edition Polo Pace.
As expected, the changes made to both of these cars are purely cosmetic. The Vento Sport is based on Highline/Highline+ variants of the car, while the Polo Pace is based on the Comfortline trim. Also, the Vento Sport can be had with either the 1.2-litre TSI petrol or 1.5-litre TDI diesel options. On the other hand, Polo Pace is available only with the brand new 1.0-litre MPI petrol motor.
Surprisingly, the only addition to the special addition Polo is the new 15-inch diamond cut alloys. The special edition Vento, however, gains a host of new features like exclusive Flash Red colour, glossy black spoiler, glossy roof foil, black carbon finish ORVMs, 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome ‘Sport’ badge on the fender.
Speaking on the occasion, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, 'At Volkswagen, we constantly enhance our product offerings to keep up with the fast changing trends and consumer aspirations. The Polo and Vento have been amongst our best-selling carlines since its inception in the Indian market. Through continuous value additions in our product portfolio, we aim to give our customers the power of choice.'
