With the new year just around the corner, several major auto manufacturers are extending discounts and incentives on a range of models in their India lineup. Volkswagen India is following suit and is thereby providing perks on the Taigun midsize SUV, the Virtus sedan, and the Tiguan SUV to clear out its old stock by the end of December. These discounts come in the form of exchange bonuses, loyalty bonuses, and cash discounts and amount up to Rs 4.20 lakh. Notably, all the available offers are valid through the end of this month. Speaking of the Tiguan and the Virtus, they are both based on the India-specific MQB-AO-IN platform, which means they share the same engine options: a 113bhp, 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 148bhp, 1.5-litre TSI engine. Depending on the engine, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter AT, or a 7-speed DSG handles transmission chores. Let's now take a look at the model-specific offers in more depth.
