Volkswagen India have launched a new special edition versions of the Polo hatchback and the Vento sedan. Volkswagen are calling them the Polo Select and the Vento Celeste.
The Special Edition Polo Select will only be available exclusively in the Highline trim with the manual gearbox which means that the Polo GT TSI and possibly the GT TDI will not be offered with the package. While the Vento Celeste will be offered only in the Highline trim but with the manual and the DSG transmission options of the sedan. The optional package will be available with both MPI petrol and TDI diesel engines.
The Polo Select will be set apart from the standard Polo with upgrades to the interior and special cosmetic changes to the exterior as well. Volkswagen have fitted the interior of the limited edition Polo with detachable window blinds, a carbon fibre finished centre console, seat covers with logos, textile floor mats and 4 scuff plates. The Vento Celeste gets similar features but does not get the seat covers with the logo and scuff plates, however it does come with a Blaupunkt infotainment system with navigation which the Polo doesn't.
The exterior of the Polo Select has Carbon Fibre finished ORVS, body side molding in black. Black roof foil and a garnish on the rear hatch lid. The Vento similarly gets all of that, but instead of the boot lid garnish, it gets a small lip spoiler on the trunk.
The optional special edition packages for the Polo Select and the Vento Celeste are now available at all Volkswagen dealerships across India.
