Volkswagen is gearing up to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the ID.Every1, a compact EV set to launch in 2027. With a price expected to stay under USD 22,000 (approximately Rs 19 lakh), this model will be positioned to compete with affordable Chinese EVs and established brands like Tesla. At 3,881 mm in length, the ID.Every1 is designed for urban mobility. It will offer more interior space than the Volkswagen Up while maintaining a compact size. Volkswagen aims to strengthen its presence in the budget EV market with this model.
Thomas Schafer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said: 'The ID. EVERY1 is the last piece of the puzzle on our journey to having the widest model selection in the volume segment. We will then offer every customer the right car with the right drive system – including affordable, entry-level all-electric mobility.
