Within a month of revealing the ID.7 Tourer, its sporty version has now been unveiled – the ID.7 GTX Tourer. While the ID.3 GTX gets the brand's most potent electric motor, the ID.7 GTX Tourer is the most potent Volkswagen wagon ever built. Thanks to the all-wheel-drive setup, the sporty version of the brand's first electric wagon makes 335bhp. In comparison, the regular ID.7 Tourer develops 282bhp and 545Nm of peak torque from a rear-mounted electric motor. Speaking of powertrain specifications, the German carmaker's first electric performance wagon uses dual motors – one on the front axle (107bhp) and another on the rear axle (282bhp). The power is transmitted to all wheels through a modified all-wheel-drive controller and electronic differential locks.
The electric motors draw power from an 86kWh battery pack (standard) that supports up to 200kW DC charging. Using the DC fast charger, the Volkswagen ID.7 GTX Tourer can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes. Although Volkswagen offers no exact range figure, here is the expected range of the 86kWh battery-powered ID.7 Tourer Pro S, for your reference – 685 kilometres (WLTP cycle).

Meanwhile, the rear end of the performance wagon features 3D LED tail light clusters, an illuminated Volkswagen logo, a red reflector strip, and a diffuser with a gloss-black finish.
