A new ID. GTI concept from Volkswagen has been revealed at the 2023 IAA Mobility show in Munich, Germany. The display vehicle is based on the ID. 2all concept is officially said to be produced initially for Europe, followed by for other countries. The three letters GTI, according to Volkswagen, have stood for the optimum blend of driving fun with all-around usefulness for thirty years. With the ID. GTI Concept, the German firm aims to show for the first time how the GTI mark is used in the age of electric transportation. The vehicle's production version, based on the modular e-drive platform (MEB), is planned to hit international roads by 2027. The company hasn't yet revealed the exact power of the new car, however, more concrete details regarding the same are expected to emerge closer to the global launch.

Volkswagen ID. GTI Concept: Design
The show car exhibits a powerful road presence with bold, sporty, and aggressive design language. Its striking and bold look is characterized by strong creases, a dynamic front bumper, a full-length light bar, quad taillights in a square shape, a roof spoiler, a fierce rear diffuser, and other features. The front and back of the car have illuminated Volkswagen insignia. Inside, there are two free-standing screens, a sporty steering wheel, sports seats, and more.
Volkswagen ID. GTI Concept: Mechanical Specifics
Volkswagen has not provided any specific details about the mechanical abilities of this electric hatchback other than it having a single-motor, high-performance powertrain with an electronic differential lock for the front wheels. The electric hatchback will offer extensive customization options with the GTI Experience Control, which can adjust the suspension, steering feel, and sound, and even recreate shift points to resemble GTIs from previous generations.

Volkswagen ID. GTI Concept: Production Model Availability
The automaker has officially announced that the production version of the concept will be created, and will hit the international streets in around 2027.
