The 'Black & White' Edition only offers aesthetic changes and remains unchanged mechanically. The Special Edition versions will only be available across select colours and variants of the Polo, Vento and Ameo.
In a bid to boost the visual appeal of its ageing model line-up, Volkswagen has come up with a 'Black & White' Special Edition version for the Polo, Ameo and the Vento. While the special edition treatment remains purely aesthetic in nature, mechanically, the cars remain identical to their regular counterparts. Further, VW has also introduced a 'Deep Black' exterior colour exclusively for the Polo and Vento.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Steffen Knapp, Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said, 'It is our constant endeavour to enhance our product offerings that are in-line with evolving consumer aspirations. The Polo & Vento have been strong contenders within their segments. Adding a dash of style, these enhanced feature offerings further make an attractive value proposition for our discerning customers. In turn, it gives them the power of choice within the Volkswagen product portfolio.'
Coming to the additions and upgrades featured on the 'Black & White' Special Edition models, the styling kit includes body graphics (mainly on the lower halves of the doors), 'Black & White' leatherette seat covers, rear spoiler finished in gloss black (an edge spoiler on the boot lid in case of Vento and Ameo), black contrast roof, chrome 'Black & White' badging on the front quarter panels, black ORVMs and 16-inch 'Portago' alloy wheels (the same as the those available on the Polo Highline Plus variant).
Now, VW says that these Special Edition models won't attract any additional costs, however, it is best to contact your nearest Volkswagen authorised dealer to know the exact prices and availability of stock.
