Tesla has recently launched an updated version of the Model 3 Highland for North America. It now comes in only two variants: rear-wheel drive and long-range. The Performance version of the car is no longer listed on North American websites, indicating its discontinuation. Despite the upgrade, the price of the updated Model 3 hasn't changed. Tesla's rear-wheel drive and long-range versions of the Model 3 are priced at USD 38,990 and USD 45,990, respectively. While deliveries are expected to start within a month, the bookings for the vehicle are currently being accepted. The electric sedan has several high-end features, including improved ambient lighting, slimmer LED headlights, and C-shaped taillights. However, the acceleration times for the standard and long-range variants remain the same as the previous version, with 5.8 seconds and 4.2 seconds respectively, to reach 0-100km/h.

Tesla Model S, Model X, and More Recalled in US

Last month, Elon Musk's Tesla announced the recall of more than 20 lakh vehicles made between October 5, 2012, and December 7, 2023. The Issues with the brand's Autopilot Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which is installed in the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, were the cause for the large recall. The decision was prompted by the US government's probe of Tesla's Autopilot technology, which began in 2021 after several accidents in which Tesla vehicles collided with parked emergency vehicles. Following eleven fatal crashes, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) initiated an official investigation.
