The Honda Jazz gets very minor updates for the 2018 model year.
Honda has launched the updated version of the Jazz hatchback in India. It must be noted that Honda India has decided against launching the Jazz facelift, which went on sale globally last year. What India gets instead is the pre-facelift car with feature additions.
Therefore, there aren’t much aesthetic changes made to the Jazz, except for LED tail lamps and introduction of two new exterior shades - Radiant Red Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic. With this update, Honda has also discontinued the E and SV variants of the Jazz. The car is now only available in S (diesel only), V and VX trims.
The base S trim features dual front airbags, steering mounted audio controls, audio system with 4 speakers, front central armrest, speed sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, rear defogger, electrically adjustable wing mirrors ABS and EBD as standard.
The V trim has Honda Smart Key System, push button start, power boot release, cruise control, automatic climate control, audio system with 5.0-inch touchscreen, reverse camera, electrically adjustable folding wing mirrors, front fog lamps and rear wiper as standard. The VX adds a 7.0-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, extended LED tail lamps and leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knobs to the package. Magic seats, a unique feature of the Jazz, have been dropped.
Mechanically, the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines continue on the updated Jazz. As before, the petrol motor also gets the option of a CVT gearbox, which is offered in both V and VX trims.
