Several automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and Honda provide a variety of car options in India, including sedans. The three popular models—the Skoda Slavia, the Honda Amaze, and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire— are preparing to enter the market in a new avatar, possibly with more features than before. Although official launch dates are yet to be revealed, rumours suggest that they may be available for purchase soon. Let's take a brief look at the expected features, pricing, and other specifications of these upcoming sedans in India.
New Honda Amaze
During the festive season, the new Honda Amaze is expected to go on sale in India. The updated sedan will continue to use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine (88.7bhp and 110Nm) in tandem with a 5-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). In its third-generation avatar, it will feature some notable cosmetic and feature enhancements inspired by the new City sedan, and the international-spec Accord.

In terms of market rivalry, the all-new Honda Amaze will continue to compete with the Hyundai Aura and the Tata Tigor. It could cost more than the current edition, which is priced between Rs 7.93 lakh and Rs 9.86 lakh in India (both ex-showroom).
Next-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The revamped Maruti Suzuki Dzire will likely be available for purchase in October, with exterior enhancements like modified front and rear bumpers, refreshed headlamps, and new alloy wheels. The sedan could include a Fronx-inspired cabin, with a single-pane sunroof (first in the category) and a 360-degree camera. Other amenities may include a wireless phone charger, six airbags, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, paired with either manual or AMT gearboxes is expected to power the updated vehicle, though Maruti Suzuki hasn't confirmed anything yet.
The price of the current Dzire ranges from Rs 6.57 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh. It is anticipated that the new version will command a higher price because of the substantial cosmetic and functional upgrades.
Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda is preparing to release several noteworthy updates for its Slavia sedan in India shortly. Although there won't be many cosmetic modifications to the vehicle, the adoption of Level 2 ADAS is anticipated to improve its safety.
Mechanically, the facelifted sedan will retain the same set of engine choices: 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TSI petrol (150bhp/250Nm), and 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI petrol (115bhp/175Nm).
