These models will help the business grow its market share in the country. Let's take a look at the possible features of these upcoming Nissan cars in India.
Nissan X-Trail
The new-gen Nissan X-Trail SUV is all set to go on sale in India in August 2024. While the exact date is yet to be announced, the launch is expected to take place during the first week of the month. The X-Trail, built on the Alliance CMF-C platform, is equipped with a single 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 161bhp and 300Nm. It has a shift-by-wire CVT automatic unit, which claims to have negligible rubberband effect. In terms of design, the SUV has split headlamps, a V-Motion grille with a dark chrome finish, 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and contoured wheel arches. It comes with three colour options (Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Solid White). Some notable features of the X-Trail include a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a dual-pane sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and dual-zone climate control.

Nissan Magnite Facelift
The new Magnite is expected to hit Indian streets by October 2024, with possible cosmetic upgrades, such as a new headlamp housing, a modified front bumper, a revamped grille, and L-shaped LED DRLs. Features-wise, the SUV is expected to include a single-pane sunroof and ventilated front seats while retaining wireless phone charging, a 7-inch digital driver display, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Mechanically, the new Magnite will remain unchanged, offering the same 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and 1.0-litre normally aspirated (NA) petrol engine options. The former produces 100bhp and 160Nm (152Nm in CVT), while the latter delivers 72bhp and 96Nm. The available transmission options include a five-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Nissan Compact SUV, 7-seater SUV
Nissan intends to launch a new vehicle in India's compact SUV market to compete with the Maruti Grand Vitara and the Hyundai Creta. This new five-seater model will be built on the CMF-B platform. Although Nissan hasn't revealed any specifics yet, the compact car is expected to offer petrol engine options to customers in India.
Following the launch of the compact 5-seat car, Nissan is expected to roll out a 7-seat mid-size SUV in India, also based on the CMF-B platform. The 7-seat SUV will likely be based on the 5-seat model, with extensive localisation and featuring only petrol engines. It will compete with models such as the Hyundai Alcazar, the Mahindra XUV700, and the MG Hector Plus.
