October is shaping up to be an exciting month for automotive enthusiasts, with several notable car launches on the horizon. Among the anticipated releases are the revamped Kia Carnival, offering fresh updates to the popular MPV, and the Nissan Magnite Facelift, which brings new design tweaks and enhancements to the compact SUV. Additionally, the BYD eMAX 7, an electric vehicle set to make waves in the market, will be introduced, showcasing the latest in EV technology. This month also promises other intriguing releases, each bringing innovative features and upgrades to their respective segments. Here's a list of all the upcoming arrivals that will capture the attention of Indian car buyers in the festive month.

Kia Carnival

Kia is set to launch the all-new Carnival on October 3. This premium model will be available in two well-equipped variants, both featuring a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The Carnival will come in two exterior colours – Black and White – and will be offered in the Limousine and Limousine Plus trims. The design elements include a wider tiger-nose grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps (with 'Star Map' LED running lamps), power-sliding doors, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED taillamps. This revamped model, set to be brought into the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Nissan is gearing up to launch the Magnite facelift on October 4. The refreshed model will feature subtle design enhancements, mainly focused on the bumpers, grille, and light clusters, as suggested by images of the test mules. Recent teasers have revealed updated tail lights, while the L-shaped DRLs on the bumpers will remain unchanged. Nissan has also promised that the car will include "20+ best-in-segment and first-in-segment features." Mechanically, the Magnite is expected to retain the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine options.

The South Korean automaker's highly anticipated flagship electric SUV, the EV9, will debut alongside the Carnival. With an expected price of around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom), the EV9 will be a fully imported model available in a single GT-Line all-wheel-drive variant, delivering 383bhp and 700Nm of torque. It will feature a 99.8kWh battery pack, providing an ARAI-certified range of 561 km. On the feature front, the model has a dual-screen arrangement, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, alongside a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Additional highlights include a 5.0-inch climate control panel, a digital key, dual electric sunroofs, a digital rearview mirror, an electrically adjustable telescopic steering wheel, ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, over-the-air (OTA) updates, 3-zone climate control, 103 connected technology features, and a wireless charging pad.

Mercedes-Benz will launch the new-generation long-wheelbase E-Class in India on October 9. Like its predecessor, the new E-Class will come standard in a long-wheelbase version, offering more space than the outgoing model. The design has evolved with softer body lines, giving it a refined look. The standout feature of the new E-Class will be its interior, particularly the top variant, which will include the wide-screen MBUX Superscreen. Rear passenger comfort is also a key focus, with powered outer seats, headrest cushions, powered sunblinds, and four-zone climate control. Under the hood, the E-Class will be powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, both paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard. Several market reports suggest that its price is likely to exceed that of the current E-Class, priced between Rs 76.05 lakh and Rs 89.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

BYD eMAX 7

The BYD e6, originally launched in India as the brand's first electric vehicle for commercial fleet operators before expanding to private buyers, is now set for a mid-life update and a new name. It is scheduled to launch on October 8. Rebranded as the eMAX 7, the refreshed five-seat MPV will feature exterior design enhancements and offer six- and seven-seat configurations, with the option for captain chairs in the second row. The car will come with additional features, including a panoramic sunroof and likely a larger touchscreen. In terms of performance, BYD has confirmed improvements over the previous model, potentially offering the more powerful 201bhp and 310Nm electric motor seen in the BYD M6 sold in global markets. The e6 currently retails for Rs 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom). However, with the forthcoming launch, the eMAX 7 is expected to carry a higher price tag compared to its predecessor.
