2007 and 2011 MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner paid a visit to Lamborghini’s factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese in Italy. The Australian was welcomed by Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, among other corporate personalities from the Italian sports car brand.
Stoner got up and close with some of the finests cars from Lamborghini including the Aventador LP 700-4 and the recently launched Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce. The 29 year old also tested the Huracan LP 610-4.
“For me it has been an incredible day, it’s something that I’ve wanted to do since I was a very young boy, to get the opportunity to drive one of these cars and see how everything is made.” Stoner commented after his visit.
“In the past I’ve had very close relationships with Italian companies and I’ve seen how much effort and passion goes into every aspect, from the design to the manufacturing. For me to see first-hand what’s involved in these cars has gone well beyond my expectations. It is something which has given me a whole new way of looking at Lamborghini and what it means as a brand,” he added.
Stoner drove for Ducati and Honda during his seven year long MotoGP career, winning titles with both the outfits.
