With 180 bookings already received, Toyota is confident that the Vellfire will go on to be a worthy competitor to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.

We drove Toyota's flagship MPV, the Vellfire, only a few days back and were impressed by the overall package. And today, Toyota has put an end to quite a long wait by launching the Vellfire, priced at ₹79.5 lakh (ex-showroom). As we mentioned earlier, the Vellfire will go on sale here in just one trim option - Executive Lounge. However, since it's a CBU, there will be an array of customisation options on offer. You can read all about the Vellfire's powertrain details here.

As for the styling, the Toyota Vellfire is unlike any other luxury MPV. The bold, in-your-face front-end, in Toyota's speak, draws its inspiration from a 'Samurai's piercing gaze'. There's an abundance of chrome here, which is sure to lure Indian consumers. The split-headlamps and triangular housing for the fog lamps add a layer of aggression to its face. The side-profile, as is the norm with MPVs, is slab-sided. LED taillamps, a huge chunk of chrome, and a seamlessly-integrated spoiler work well for the rear.

But it's the interior that's the main highlight of the Vellfire. The second-row captain seats offer throne-like levels of space & comfort and feature an armrest-mounted console which allows for various seating configurations. There is a 13-inch roof-mounted screen too. For infotainment, the Vellfire comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen with support for both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It also gets a 17-speaker JBL sound system. Other creature comforts include three-zone climate control, twin moonroofs and 16 colour options for the ambient roof lighting.

The Toyota Vellfire is available in four exterior colour options - Burning Black, White Pearl, Graphite, and Black - and two for the interior trim - Flaxen (Beige) and Black. The deliveries are expected to start sometime next month.
