Toyota has introduced a limited-edition Urban Cruiser Taisor to commemorate the festive season, with distinctive exterior and interior accessories valued at Rs 20,160. The package only comes with turbo-petrol models and is available until the end of October 2024. It includes additions like chrome embellishments on the grille and headlamps, front and rear skid plates in grey and red colours, door sill guards, door visors, side body cladding, all-weather 3D mats, and a welcome door lamp. Toyota claims that all of these accessories will be installed at dealerships during the time of shipment, guaranteeing the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

For the uninitiated, the Taisor is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and the sixth product of a partnership between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. It is currently priced between Rs 7.74 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Here are some other specifications of the Toyota vehicle.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: Powertrain
The Urban Cruiser Taisor is available with the same engine options as its donor model (a 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-series petrol, and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol). The 1.2-litre petrol unit produces 88.5bhp and 113Nm, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol mill generates 98.6bhp and 147.6Nm. The transmission options are a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed automated manual (AMT), and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. A CNG powertrain (76.44bhp and 98.5Nm) is also available.

Toyota has equipped the Urban Cruiser Taisor with an array of amenities, such as automated climate control, a 360-degree camera, a 6-speaker sound system, a 9-inch touchscreen, paddle shifters (only in AT), cruise control, wireless phone charging, ABS with EBD, up to six airbags, a heads-up display, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
