In India, Toyota has launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG in two models, S and G, with ex-showroom prices of Rs 13.23 lakh and Rs 15.29 lakh, respectively. There are four different Toyota Hyryder models offered in India: E, S, G, and V. However, only the S and G trims of the mid-size SUV offer the CNG engine option. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder was introduced in September of last year. In the mid-size CNG SUV, only the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Hyryder CNG are currently on sale in India. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have collaborated to create these two vehicles. Similar to its twin - the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG, which has the same engine, the Hyryder CNG claims a fuel efficiency of 26.6 km/kg. All those interested in buying the CNG variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder can have a look at the following detailed information for a better understanding.
Mechanical Specifications
The 1.5-litre K-series engine in the Urban Cruiser Hyryder's CNG model produces 87bhp at 5,500rpm and 121.5Nm at 4,200rpm. However, when running on petrol, the unit produces 99bhp at 6,000rpm and 136Nm at 4,400rpm. A five-speed manual transmission is used for the CNG version.

Design
The Toyota Hyryder CNG shares the exterior design with the petrol-powered model. However, there is a minor modification with the addition of the CNG badge. The interior of the mid-SUV is now entirely black and is quite similar to the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in terms of design. The dashboard is the same as the Maruti Suzuki cars like the Baleno and the Brezza. The interior has a dual-tone layout with soft-touch materials on the door pads and padded leather on the dash.
Features
The NeoDrive variants' feature list has been carried over to the CNG version. The gear shift indicator is absent from the CNG version, though. The top-tier variant has dark green quarter and window glass, rear window wiper and washer, machined alloy wheels, LED projector auto headlights, chrome beltline garnish, auto ORVMs, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Arkamys sound system, side and curtain airbags, and more features.
Market Rivals
The Hyryder CNG will be a formidable rival for the Grand Vitara CNG, the only other midsize SUV with a CNG option. Additionally, it will compete with midsize SUVs like the Nissan Kicks, the MG Astor, the Hyundai Creta, the Volkswagen Taigun, the Kia Seltos, and others in India.
