Trust me, I am not ‘kidding’ but Japanese car manufacturer Toyota is. It is going to be part of the Tokyo Toy show and will be presenting the Camatte57s, a sporty, open-top family-focused concept car.
Toyota’s new concept is about sharing ideas to build the ideal car, and is inspired by the fun generations of mums, dads and kids have had making things together. The Camatte57s builds on Toyota’s original Camatte concept, showcased last year, with a greater range of customisation opportunities that are even easier to apply.
Camatte is Japanese for ‘care’ and this Toyota toy car is made up of 57 small, lightweight, detachable panels that can be finished in a wide choice of different colours and designs.
The open top roadster body style adds to the fun factor and allows everyone on board to enjoy the colourful exterior they have created.
The pedals and seats can be adjusted so that even children can drive. Toyota feels that if kids start driving at an early age, the sense of safe driving and understanding of the machine grows.
Powered by an electric motor, the Camatte57s seats three and, from what it looks, does not require a license to drive. For all those children who wanted to have a go in a car, other than the one on Playstation; Toyota, has answered your prayers.
