After celebrating Corolla's 50th anniversary, Toyota showcased the world's highest selling car's 2017 avatar. We expect the Corolla to make its debut in India in 2017. The facelift sedan comes across as a lot more contemporary design than the current model.

The 2017 Corolla has incorporated Toyota's new design style - the “Keen Look” and “Under Priority”. Therefore, due to this new DNA, the Corolla gets a more aggressive looking bumper and sleek front grille and headlamps. The top-of-the-line Corolla sports new LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, while LED tail lamps are a standard feature across all variants. The high-end version though comes with additional goodies like chrome finished door handles, while the rear gets a thin chrome strip. All these upgrades manage to give the restyled Corolla a wider stance. It will be available with new 16" and 17" alloy wheel designs.

When it comes to safety, the new Corolla is fully loaded with a Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB). It will be interesting to see if India too will get all these safety features. As there isn't any information on the Corolla getting new powerplants, it is safe to say that it will retain both the 138bhp 1.8 litre petrol and diesel 87bhp 1.4 litre.
