Toyota launched the all new Land Cruiser Prado and has priced this SUV at Rs 84.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Prado gets a new front grille, LED headlamps and daytime running lights and also fog lamps.
While the mechanicals remain the same, most of the changes are made to the interiors. Toyota has added what they call ‘Crawl Control’, which essentially is a clever system which makes accelerator and brake usage unnecessary when driving over off-road terrain or on slippery surfaces.
Also available is the Multi-Terrain Select, which allows you to toggle between various modes like Rock, Rock and Dirt, Loose Rock and Mud and Sand while the Multi-Terrain Monitor helps you mind your surroundings.
Toyota has also equipped the Prado with a 7-inch screen, a seat heater for the second row and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The same 3.0-litre D4D engine makes its way under the hood of the new Prado. The output stands at 170bhp.
Sandeep Singh, DMD and COO, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Owing to its Land Cruiser heritage, the Prado has earned its name as an all-terrain luxury SUV and appeals not only to SUV buyers but also to buyers of other luxury car segments alike. A perfect combination of manoeuvrability and interior luxury, we are certain that the Indian customers will experience superior comfort and luxury while driving the New Prado”.
