The Toyota Etios Liva Dual Tone comes with a black roof with contrast colour options among other cosmetic updates.
In a bid to push sales of the Etios Liva hatchback, Toyota has added a new dual-tone version of the car in the market. As can be seen in the images above, the new version gets a dual-tone paint scheme featuring a black roof and a sporty roof spoiler along with a generous dose of chrome on the outside among other cosmetic updates.
The dual-tone paint on the Etios Liva will be available only in V & VX trim variants of the hatchback. Now, the refreshed Etios Liva was only launched in September 2016 if you remember. Toyota says the new version is added to the range “keeping in mind the modern taste of Indian consumers”.
In addition to the aforementioned updates, the dual-tone Etios Liva gets a bold front grille with black inserts, chrome shrouds around fog lamps and diamond cut alloy wheels. The dual tone versions will be available in 3 colours, namely - Ultramarine Blue, Vermilion Red, and Super White. On the inside, the new variants remain mostly unchanged and get a piano-black finish, removable headrests, electrically foldable ORVMs, etc.
Safety wise, the Etios Liva continues to come fitted standard with ABS, EBD and dual front airbags, while it now also gets ISOFIX child seat locks across all grades.
The powertrains are unchanged from the regular versions, meaning the dual-tone Etios Liva comes powered by the same 1.4-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engines, both paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine is rated at 67bhp and 170Nm while the petrol produces 89bhp and 132Nm of peak torque.
The dual-tone versions of the Etios Liva have been priced between Rs 5.94 lakh and Rs 6.44 lakh for petrol & Rs. 7.24 lakh and Rs 7.61 lakh for diesel (ex-showroom Mumbai).
