The Toyota Hycross is expected to make its debut next month and the price for the same will be revealed early next year.
The new Innova Hycross from Toyota is all set to be unveiled soon. The Japanese automaker recently released a teaser image for the eagerly anticipated multi-purpose car ahead of its global debut in Indonesia next month. The teaser provides a sneak peek of the upcoming car's front fascia design.
The teaser image showcases the front part of the Hycross, featuring a huge, vertical hexagonal grille. It also has wide headlamps with two L-shaped inserts that house the main light units, and triangular housings for the fog lamps on the bumper. The front windscreen is raked, and its bonnet has sharp creases. The all-new Innova Hycross is anticipated to measure around 4.7 metres in length along with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The car will also come equipped with updated wraparound taillights as well as a new set of alloy wheels. Unlike the previous generations of the Innova, the Toyota Innova Hycross will not be built on a ladder-on-frame platform but rather a monocoque one.
The Hycross's powertrain, which consists of a 2.0-litre petrol engine with hybrid technology, has a capacity of about 187bhp. It will likely be combined with an electric CVT transmission. The MPV will also include front-wheel drive, among other features. However, the car will only be available in petrol engine option.
The Innova Hycross is also anticipated to boast additional features like an electric sunroof, an 8-inch infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera. Rebadged for Maruti Suzuki, the Innova Hycross will be available for purchase via Nexa dealerships.
The MPV is expected to make its debut next month and the price for the same will be revealed early next year. Once launched, the Toyota Hycross will compete with the likes of the Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Carens.
