A sporty iteration of the much-loved Innova Crysta with styling upgrades
It has been a year since the Toyota Innova Crysta has been launched, and just like its predecessor, this one too has rocked the sales charts. And that despite the fact that the new Innova Crysta’s launch price was a few lakh rupees more than its predecessor. Now, Toyota is set to add another variant christened “Touring Sport’ to the Innova Crysta line-up on 4th May.
To set the Innova Crysta Touring Sport apart from the standard model, Toyota has given it some cosmetic updates. Up front, it gets an all-black grille with some chrome accents. To ensure that the car lives up to its sporty nature, Toyota has fitted it with dual-tone bumpers up front as well as at the back. The bumpers too get mild chrome highlights. Other changes to the Innova Crysta touring Sport include dual-tone ORVMs and black side skirts with contrast chrome bits. While the design of the 16-inch alloy wheels is unchanged, in the Touring Sport version they have been draped in black.
On the inside, while the standard trim gets the option of a bench or captain seats for the second row passengers, the Touring Sport comes with captain seats as standard. Other features like the dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting and 7-inch touchscreen audio system with navigation and black leather upholstery will be carried forward from the standard model.
While the standard model comes with three engine options (2 diesel and 1 petrol), there is still no clarity about which of these will make its way into the Touring Sport edition. Needless to say, all the aforementioned changes will come at a price. We expect the Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport to be priced around Rs 30-40,000 higher than the standard model.
