Toyota Innova Crysta CNG likely to come soon!

The Updated Toyota Innova Crysta is expected to get the CNG option and slight exterior tweaks. 

The Japanese automotive firm has removed the older Innova Crysta from its Indian website but this hasn't lead to its discontinuation, as speculations are rising that sometime in the first quarter of 2023, the currently delisted model will return with a CNG option. By doing so, Toyota will be able to please its customer base, especially the fleet owners in the Delhi-NCR region. Also, Toyota will reintroduce the Innova Crysta diesel probably next year in order to retain its potential customers for the diesel option.

It is highly speculated that the 2.7-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that was previously offered with the Innova Crysta could be brought back in the CNG version. It produces 164bhp and 245Nm in its standard model. However, the CNG variant will have lower power figures than its petrol counterpart. The standard petrol engine is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, but the CNG version is highly expected to be offered with the 5-speed manual transmission only. 

The expected 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta in a CNG option will go on sale together with the newly launched Toyota Innova Hycross. It is predicted that Toyota will most likely restructure the Crysta range to enable both the Innova models to go hand in hand in the market with variation in terms of price. The re-arrangement of the Toyota Innova Crysta's lineup could lead to the termination of the higher trim levels from the market and the reshuffling of the equipment list. There are rumours going on in the industry that the carmaker may also rename the vehicle and make cosmetic changes to its exterior. It is most likely to be priced between ₹ 80,000 and ₹1 lakh more than the standard version.
