Toyota has launched the new Hilux Champ in Thailand, which is the first model to benefit from the new IMV 0 platform. The vehicle is available in both long and short-wheelbase configurations and comes with three engine options. Toyota has created the Hilux Champ keeping personal and professional use in mind, which is why it is available in eight different grades to accommodate diverse needs. Though the car has only been launched in Thailand, it will soon be available in South America, Africa, and Indonesia. However, there's no precise update regarding its availability in India. Toyota has ensured that the Hilux Champ offers a wide range of customisation choices to meet the varied needs of its customers. All in all, a total of around 11 customised models were showcased at the Thailand debut. Here's everything to know about the engine and other features of this newly launched pickup truck for Thai customers.

Toyota Hilux Champ: Key Details
The new Hilux Champ is available in two versions - short and long-wheelbase. The short wheelbase version is 1,785mm wide, 1,735mm tall, and 4,970mm long. Its truck bed measures 2,312mm x 1,711mm x 327mm, and the wheelbase is 2,750mm. On the other hand, the Hilux Champ LWB (Long wheelbase version) is 5,300mm long and has the same width and height as the SWB version. The wheelbase for the LWB version is 3,085mm, which is longer than the SWB version. With the longer variant, you get an additional 362mm in the truck bed length. Both models have a ground clearance of 180mm.
The Hilux Champ mimics the external design of the IMV 0 concept. It has a flat windshield, black steelies, halogen headlights (LEDs are optional), and a face influenced by the Land Cruiser with heavy plastic cladding.
The model's deck has bolt holes placed strategically to simplify the attachment of personalised accessories using bolts and nuts. Toyota Motor Thailand offers access to over 100 accessory suppliers for customers who wish to have even more options for customisation. In Thailand, the Toyota Hilux Champ models have a two-door, single-cab body style with a two-seater interior. The interior is simplistic in design and appears to have modest storage spaces.
