Toyota has unveiled two new and special versions of the updated GR Yaris for the global market. Called the GR Yaris RZ High-Performance Sebastien Ogier and the GR Yaris RZ High-Performance Kalle Rovanpera, these special editions are limited to 100 units each. As the names indicate, the vehicles have been constructed with special contributions from Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team's champion racers – Sebastian Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera. It is important to note that these exclusive models will only be available in the Japanese market, and those interested can get a chance to purchase them by entering a lottery that will start in the spring. Both models are powered by the 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine found in the GR Yaris, coupled with a six-speed intelligent manual transmission (6iMT). Toyota GR Yaris RZ Kalle Rovanpera and Sebastien Ogier Editions: What's Special?
While limited-edition versions of the GR Yaris come with various upgrades, they retain the key features of the original model. The Ogier variant, for instance, has a unique Matt Stealth Grey paint job, with the French flag displayed on the radiator grille in homage to Ogier's native country. Moreover, it comes with 18x8J BBS alloy wheels, blue brake callipers, and a plastic rally spoiler reinforced with carbon fibre, adding to its overall appeal.
Additionally, the Ogier Edition GR Yaris features two brand-new AWD control modes – Seb and Morizo. Toyoda's personal rallying experiences served as the basis for the Morizo mode, which is finely tuned to assist drivers achieve consistent race timings in a variety of braking and acceleration conditions. On the other hand, Ogier's custom-designed Seb mode distributes torque to the rear axle via all-wheel drive and the front and rear Torsen limited slip differentials, allowing the rear of the vehicle to swing out easily. In addition to giving the driver a sense of total connection with the car, this enables them to attain faster timings with high-speed body control.
The Rovanpera edition, on the other hand, boasts a unique three-tone paint job, finished with a sequence of artwork created by the designer of Rovanpera's race helmet. There are Toyota Gazoo Racing decals on the doors and rear bumper in addition to the WRC victory stickers applied to the front wings. The variant also features an adjustable rear wing borrowed from the GRMN Yaris and constant-velocity rear differential gears.
A new Donut Mode has been added to the Rovanpera Edition to regulate the slide while it drifts. Furthermore, the car is equipped with a state-of-the-art Kalle Mode, which incorporates an exclusive rear differential system capable of swinging the back of the car as it enters a curve, allowing it to slide smoothly around bends.

The limited-run versions will be showcased in Japan from February 15 to February 18, 2024. While the prices of these vehicles have not been disclosed yet, they are expected to command significantly higher prices than the Toyota GR Yaris model.
