Toyota is recalling about 1,000 units of the diesel variant of its sedan Corolla Altis in India. Toyota has recalled the Altis manufactured between August 3, 2012 and February 14 2013, due to a faulty driveshaft.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said that it has initiated a recall campaign this month for the Corolla Altis diesel and the company is proactively inspecting and repairing/replacing the faulty drive-shafts free of cost.

Toyota says that the rectification will take two hours, so the customers would have to take prior appointment from the dealerships. Toyota has also provided a customer care number for further enquiries 1800-425-0001
