Toyota bZ3C, bZ3X BEV Models Unveiled at Beijing Auto Show 2024

Toyota has unveiled two new electric vehicles in China at the ongoing motor show. While the information on the powertrain has yet to be released, let's look at the exterior of these two new Toyota BEVs.

Toyota has unveiled two new electric vehicles at Auto China—the bZ3C and the bZ3X, which are an extension of the bZ Sport Crossover and bZ FlexSpace Concepts from last year. The production cars resemble their concept counterparts, although powertrain specifics are not yet available. The two Toyota BEVs are equipped with advanced driver assistance systems and intelligent cockpits. Though no exact date has been announced, the cars are expected to be available on the streets of China by the next year. To learn more about their design and features, let's take a closer look.

Toyota bZ3C

The bZ3C is a product of collaboration between BYD-Toyota, FAW-Toyota, and the company's Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center. Featuring a more sophisticated design, the crossover looks similar to the worldwide offered Prius and bZ4X crossovers. It is equipped with crisp LED daytime running lights, a single swooping LED taillight, aero wheels, and flush-fitting door handles.

Toyota BZ3C Interior

The car has a huge central infotainment screen in the middle of the dashboard and a digital gauge cluster. More to the interior is a captivating ambient lighting arrangement.

Toyota bZ3X

Compared to its sibling, the bZ3C, the Toyota bZ3X looks significantly larger. It has the shape of a small minivan with crossover-inspired design elements such as an increased ride height and black wheel arch trim. Other prominent external features include slim headlamps, flush-fitting door handles, distinctive taillights, and an LED light strip at the rear.

The bZ3X's cabin looks substantially larger than the bZ3C, with a similar infotainment display. It includes two wireless phone charging ports, a digital instrument cluster, and a two-spoke steering wheel. There is also a wide glass panoramic roof.

Availability

Toyota is yet to confirm the availability of the bZ3C and bZ3X in markets other than China. More details regarding the powertrain, pricing, and features are expected to become available soon.
