MG Comet EV
The MG Comet is one of the budget-friendly electric cars available in India. The price of electrified Comet begins at Rs 7.98 lakh for the base version and goes all the way to Rs 9.28 lakh and Rs 9.98 lakh, respectively, for the mid-spec Play and the highest-spec Plush variants. Under the bonnet, the Comet gets an electric motor and a 17.3kWh battery that delivers a maximum power output of 41bhp and a peak torque of 110Nm. With this, the electric hatchback claims to reach 230 kilometres on a single full charge. The Comet EV sports a multitude of amenities, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.25-inch fully digital instrument console, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a reverse parking camera, i-Smart connected car technology, OTA updates, and others. Tata Tiago EV
In India, the starting price of the Tata Tiago EV is Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). There are two different battery packs available for the Tiago EV: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. While the larger battery delivers 73bhp and 114Nm, the smaller battery produces 60bhp and 110Nm. With a lower battery pack, the basic Tiago EV versions have a 250-kilometre range, whereas the top-spec variants with a larger battery have a 315-kilometre mid-range. It takes 6.2 seconds for the electric Tiago with a smaller battery to go from a complete stop to 100 km/h. However, the model completes the same operation in 5.7 seconds with a bigger battery pack. Citroen eC3

Tata Nexon.ev
The 2023 Tata Nexon.ev is the most popular model in the segment, with a starting price of Rs 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom). It has two performance versions: Medium-Range (MR) and Long-Range (LR). The Nexon.ev LR (Long Range) has a 40.5kWh battery that produces 141bhp and 215Nm, while the Nexon.ev MR (Medium Range) has a 30.2kWh battery that produces 127bhp and 215Nm. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with mobile connectivity, a nine-speaker JBL audio system with multiple audio modes, touch-based HVAC controls, a wireless charger, and more features are included in the electric version of the Nexon.
