Mahindra & Mahindra will introduce the much-awaited 5-door version of the Thar to India this year. Market reports suggest that Mahindra will offer the new Thar within a range of Rs 15 Lakh and Rs 18 Lakh in India. Mechanically, the Thar with a 5-door avatar will have two engine choices: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Higher power and torque levels will reportedly be tuned into both units. For transmission, it will use either a 6-speed torque converter automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Further, the upcoming model will have a longer wheelbase. Because of the vehicle's greater wheelbase, Mahindra will be able to offer an increased cabin space. Maruti Suzuki Fronx
Maruti Suzuki is likely to launch the highly anticipated Fronx in April 2023. Bookings for the crossover can be made by paying a nominal fee of Rs 11,000 at authorised dealerships or online. The carmaker will offer the Fronx in five trim options: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. There will be three dual-tone colour options and six monochromatic colour choices available for the crossover. In terms of market competition, the new crossover, based on the Baleno hatchback, will go against the Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki is highly anticipated to launch the Fronx at a price structure ranging between Rs 7 Lakh and Rs 11 Lakh (Both prices, ex-showroom).
Citroen C3 Aircross
Citroen India is expected to launch the new C3 Aircross on April 27 in the country. Reportedly, the upcoming SUV will draw power via a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which has a maximum output of 110bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm. For transmission, it will likely utilize a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. Price-wise, the Citroen C3 Aircross is expected to range between Rs 9 Lakh and Rs 15 Lakh in India. Both prices are ex-showroom. It will face fierce market competition from the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the VW Taigun, and the Skoda Kushaq.
New Honda Midsize SUV
The Japanese carmaker will introduce the much-waited Honda midsize SUV in India soon. After the launch in our market, the compact vehicle will lock horns with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the Toyota Hyryder, the VW Taigun, and more.
