Several automakers such as Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Kia, and more are planning to unveil or launch their much-awaited models. These cars, including the new Jimny, the 2023 Seltos, the Citroen C3 Aircross, and others, are expected to arrive in our market with a range of features for car enthusiasts. This month, MG Motor launched the compact hatchback Comet EV at Rs 7.98 Lakh in our market. Also, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 7.47 lakh. Maruti Suzuki Jimny
The new Jimny will reportedly go on sale in the country in May 2023. Recently, the leaked prices of the off-road vehicle surfaced online. According to a leaked dealer invoice, it will have a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The upcoming Jimny in a 5-door avatar will draw power from a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, capable of making 104 of maximum power and 134Nm of peak torque. It will use a 4-speed torque-converter automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. Instead of a monocoque chassis, the Jimny-5 door will have a ladder frame chassis.

Tata Altroz iCNG
The Altroz iCNG was speculated to launch this month, but it didn't. However, bookings for the model opened in the country at Rs 21,000. Price-wise, the CNG model is anticipated to be approximately Rs 90,000 more expensive than its petrol MT sibling, which is currently priced between Rs 6.45 lakh and Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Mechanically, the new Altroz iCNG will get a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated Revotron two-fuel engine, operating on petrol and CNG modes. On petrol mode, the Altroz produces 88bhp of maximum power and 115Nm of peak torque, whereas onboard CNG, The new Altroz will likely deliver 76bhp and 97Nm. It will reportedly come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Kia Seltos Facelift
Kia recently launched the 2023 Seltos for the U.S. market. Now, the carmaker reportedly plans to bring the updated model to our market soon. Internationally, the redesigned Seltos comes with ADAS as standard across all variants. Speaking of the powertrain, the updated SUV is available internationally with two engine options: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit and a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine produces 146bhp and 179Nm, meanwhile, 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine generates 195bhp and 264Nm. These engines are mated to both iMT and DCT gearboxes. Kia has not officially disclosed anything yet, however, market speculations reveal that the 2023 Seltos will launch in India by July 2023.
Maruti Suzuki Premium MPV
Maruti Suzuki has confirmed to bring an all-new MPV, which will be based on the Toyota Innova Hycross. Right now, there is no official confirmation, but we anticipate that Maruti Suzuki's version of the Innova Hycross will have a completely different design from its Toyota counterpart. Mechanically speaking, the upcoming MPV is likely to get the same powertrain options as the Innova Hycross. In our market, the new MPV will launch sometime in July of this year. After the launch, it will compete with the Kia Carnival, the MG Gloster and more in India.

Citroen C3 Aircross
Citroen recently revealed the brand-new C3 Aircross SUV in India. The CMP modular platform based car comes in a three-row seating arrangement with two seating choices - a standard 5-seater configuration and a 7-seater configuration (5+2). In terms of the powertrain, the SUV will have 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, also available with the standard C3, capable of churning out 108bhp and 190Nm. Price announcement hasn't been done yet, however, some industry reports suggest that the SUV could range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).
