The sportier version of the Tata Altroz is expected to go on sale in India in June 2024, with several upgrades over its standard counterpart, such as an all-new turbo petrol engine, an eye-catching exterior, and additional equipment. After its debut at last year's Auto Expo, the hatchback made its appearance in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in February 2024. It is now set to hit the showrooms, although the exact launch date is still undisclosed. Here are the top five features that the new Altroz Racer is expected to offer over the regular model.
Tata Altroz Racer vs Altroz: Infotainment Screen
The sportier Tata Altroz Racer will likely have a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, similar to the Nexon, in contrast to the standard model, which features a 7-inch unit. Unlike the latter which offers wired smartphone connectivity, the former (10.25-inch unit) provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The performance-oriented Altroz is also expected to replace the regular model's semi-digital driver's display with a fully digital one. The unit's size will likely stay the same at 7 inches, though.

Tata Altroz Racer vs Altroz: Head Up Display
The hatchback could come with a Head-up Display, which shows data like fuel economy, speed, clock, and RPM on a tiny glass panel above the instrument cluster. In the premium hatchback market, the Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza are the only vehicles that currently provide this feature.
Tata Altroz Racer vs Altroz: Ventilated Front Seats
The Tata Altroz Racer is likely to benefit from ventilated front seats. The upcoming Altroz will be the first vehicle in India's premium hatchback market to acquire this technology.
Tata Altroz Racer vs Altroz: Six Airbags
With six airbags, the new Altroz Racer is expected to outperform the regular model. For comparison, the standard Tata Altroz, including the top-spec edition, only features dual front airbags.
Tata Altroz Racer vs Altroz: 360-degree Camera
According to the previous spy pictures, the hatchback will probably incorporate a 360-degree camera, which helps with parking in small areas and navigating the car in busy city traffic. Other features may include a voice-activated sunroof and wireless charging.
Tata Altroz Racer vs Altroz: What's in Looks?
With its robust front fascia and impressive features, the Altroz has always been a distinctive hatch in the market. Its new and sportier version, which features a distinctive dual-tone exterior, is anticipated to boost the moniker's appeal. The upcoming car has an orange and black colour scheme with white stripes on the hood and roof. It comes with 'Racer' badging and 16-inch all-black diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, the hatch sports a black theme with red highlights.
