Top 5 Best-selling Cars in India in FY25: Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Tata Punch, Hyundai Creta and More
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R was followed on the list by the Tata Punch and Hyundai Creta, which sold 1.96 lakh units and 1.95 lakh units, respectively.

Maruti Suzuki maintained its market dominance in FY25, with the Wagon R emerging as the best-selling model, surpassing the Tata Punch and numerous other vehicles. This success contributed significantly to Maruti Suzuki's overall performance, as the company also secured two additional spots within the top-selling models list for the fiscal year. Marking a successful end to the financial year, Maruti Suzuki reported its highest total sales figures to date, achieving 22.34 lakh units in FY25. This represents a clear increase over the 21.35 lakh units sold in FY24, underscoring Maruti Suzuki's continued leadership in the Indian automotive market.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R remained India's best-selling car for the fourth straight fiscal year in FY25, with sales of over 1.98 lakh units. Maruti Suzuki credited the continued success to a loyal customer base of over 3.37 lakh and a strong repurchase rate.

The Wagon R is available in four variants (LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi+) priced between Rs 5.64 lakh and Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Punch

The Tata Punch SUV emerged as a strong contender in FY25, closely following the Wagon R with total sales reaching 1.96 lakh units. Interestingly, this SUV surpassed the Wagon R's sales figures in the calendar year 2024. The Tata Punch offers multiple powertrain options. The ICE version starts at Rs 6 lakh, while the electric vehicle model begins at Rs 9.99 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.
Hyundai Creta

With 1.95 lakh units sold in FY25, the Hyundai Creta claimed the third spot among the best-selling vehicles. The ICE version of the Creta has three different engine options and an ex-showroom price range of Rs 11.11 lakh to Rs 20.50 lakh. It is also available in an electric avatar. In a recent global development, Hyundai launched a sportier Creta N Line in Thailand. Unlike the Indian N Line's turbo petrol engine, the Thai version features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit (113bhp/144Nm) coupled with a CVT transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV secured the fourth rank in FY25's best-selling vehicles with a total of 1.91 lakh units sold across the country. The multi-purpose vehicle from Maruti Suzuki is offered to Indian buyers in a range of four primary variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. It has an ex-showroom price ranging between Rs 8.84 lakh and Rs 13.13 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza

In FY25, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza recorded significant sales of 1.89 lakh units in India, showcasing its continued popularity in the compact SUV category.

The popular SUV offers a compelling value proposition with a starting price of Rs 8.69 Lakh, while the top-end variant is priced at Rs 14.14 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
